Wool Research and NZ Wool Industry Charitable Trust Education Portfolio

The following approach was agreed for supporting wool education at the time the programme was instituted in 2005.

The focus of support from the two entities would be:

On postgraduate studies
On Undergraduate studies to the extent necessary to ensure a supply of merit applicants from New Zealand citizens for post graduate studies.
On supporting achievement of competencies that result in careers in the wool industry past the farm gate
On supporting scholars to undertake studies within New Zealand and internationally. In either case scholars will be selected for support taking account of the likelihood of their pursuing a career in New Zealand, or if offshore, the probability of their being in a position to support the use of and enhancement of New Zealand wool end use products
